Quick Testing Cooking Oil Vegetable Oils Capsaicin Test Kit ELISA Test Kit
Capsaicin Assay ELISA Test Kit provides a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative analysis of Capsaicin Assay in detection of cooking oil, animal and vegetable oils. Up to 96 tests or assaying about 42 samples in duplicate (assuming 12 wells for standards).

Warnings and Precautions
  • When compared to quantification by LC/MS or GC/MS, it is not uncommon for immunoassays to report higher analyte concentrations. While LC/MS or GC/MS methods typically measure only a single compound, antibodies used in immunoassays not only recognize the target molecule, but also structurally related molecules, including biologically relevant metabolites. So it is the responsibility of the client to understand the limits of both assays system and to interpret their data accordingly.
  • Any variation in operating procedure, pipetting technique, washing technique, incubating time or temperature etc, can cause variation in result.
  • Do not use the kit beyond the expiration date.
  • Do not mix or substitute reagents with those from other lots or sources.
  • Water used to prepare all ELISA reagents and buffers must be deionized or distilled water.
Sample Extract Preparation
Weigh 8g of NaOH, add 200mL of deionized water to dissolve and set aside.
Vegetable and Animal Edible Oils (Except Sesame Oil)
  1. Weigh 1.0±0.05g oil sample into a suitable container, add 1mL dichloromethane and 2mL sample extraction solution and shake for 1min
  2. 4000rpm, centrifuge for 1min
  3. Take 1mL of the upper liquid, add 0.25mL of reagent A and 2mL of n-hexane and shake for 1min
  4. Take 1mL of upper n-hexane and blow dry, and add 0.1mL sample diluent to redissolve
Dilution ratio: 0.4
Sesame Oil
  1. Weigh 0.5±0.05g oil sample into a suitable container, add 1mL dichloromethane and 2mL sample extraction solution and shake for 1min
  2. 4000rpm, centrifuge for 1min
  3. Take 1mL of the upper liquid, add 0.25mL of reagent A and 2mL of n-hexane and shake for 1min
  4. Take 1mL of upper n-hexane and blow dry, and add 0.1mL sample diluent to redissolve
